Hand Made Engraver's Box with ContentsThis engraver's box was likely bench-made by an engraver that engraved a specialty item. This assumption is based on the round circle that was built into the slanted front to hold whatever was being engraved. This could have been a medal or award given the size of the circle. The box was made from a shipping box or crate with the lettering still visible on the bottom of the box and the drawer.Inside the drawer we found engraving tools, the metal shafts exactly like those shown in the Murphy catalog that was also in the drawer. The handles of most of the also appear to be hand whittled. Two leather finger sleeves with lacing were found in the drawer. Also a variety files, wax pieces and shards of metal along with odd and ends.We have done nothing to the box, tool handles, metal or anything in this lots to alter the finish/patina. The winning bidder may wish to change that with butcher's wax, an application of oil or whatever they may wish. The surface of this is 100% honest.Measures: 10" Long x 7" Wide x 4" TallThe condition is described in the Condition Description portion of the ad and meets all of eBay's Selling Practices Policy.Shipping via USPS Priority MailDomestic and International Rates ApplyWelcome to PICKER BOB'S TREASURESIn our eBay store, you will find an eclectic selection of items read more
