a very rare early 1900s to late 19th century old original ''HIGH ROCK HOTEL'' early tavern wood trade sign. its rare enough to find an 1800s era sign and that much more rare to find a genuine period classic tavern sign. i assure you this is the real deal and is of early sand paint which of coarse now shows wear and weathering giving it unmistakable authetic true age character. the sign measures 39 1/2''h x 30''w x 3/4'' wood thickness. in all original untouched condition, i will only mention one issue and that is that the sign is basically in three parts, the top, middle and back which the joinery has been comprimised over time. in other words the three sections are originally held by early staple hardware and age anomolies and minor hairlines have made them loose and the sign should be secured with wood supports on the back for longevity sake. i will support it securely for shipping. this is truely an exceptional early period tavern sign for striking display.
