Selling part of 40 year collection to pay for repairs to the house I live in: the birth house of General Joshua Chamberlain. This item was not his or anyone related to him. There may be items later auctioned that are associated with him, but this one is not. This was bought from reputable dealer in Penn. years ago. It has great patina, old patina, and form. I paid over $200.00 for it 25 years ago but am starting it at a low, no reserve auction price. It measures about 14 inches long, and at its widest is 3 inches. It has been hanging over the fireplace and looks great. Authenticity is guaranteed. Some corrosion as in photos, but not none goes through the item. Never been waxed or cleaned other than with a damp cloth. Any questions?
