ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TUNBRIDGE WARE STYLE JEWELLERY BOX, FULLY RESTORED. A nicely figured, fully restored Victorian walnut veneered jewellery box with the much sought after Tunbridge Ware style banding, with mother of pearl escutcheon. * french polished with transparent shellac polish to enhance the grain, then finished with beeswax to preserve the finish & make it easy to maintain * Fitted interior has a wooden tray with french polished solid walnut divisions, lightly padded base, lidded compartment with brass knob, and a 2 ring roll compartment offering storage for rings/ earrings. * Box & tray have been re-lined with a sumptuously rich cerise felt & a fine quality reproduction Victorian paper. * original lock with later ornate key & tassel. beneath the tray is further storage space, again with a lightly padded base for the safe storage of your valuables underside of box has been lined with black felt to protect your furniture. . * (please remember that this is an antique box therefore will show age marks/character from over 100 years of usage, which to the antique lover only adds to the charm.
