19th-C. WHALE OIL LAMP IN THE FORM OF A TIN CANDLESTICK. Very interesting, and I think uncommon, whale oil lamp. The brass and tin whale oil burner is threaded and screws into the “candle” shaped oil reservoir portion of the lamp. It has a black Japaned finish that is quite worn. The finger loop has a few bends to it, but it is still firmly secured. Overall height is 3-3/4” and the base diameter is 4-1/4”.Please see my other auctions for other items. If you have any questions, please email me. Buyer pays Priority Mail shipping plus actual insurance costs.
