Late 19Th Century~ Beautifully cast figural andirons depicting black winged bats. These Gothic style andirons were purchased from a large estate in Pasadena, California. Exact age or maker is not known. The front figural section measures approx. 19" ht. and 9" at the widest point. The back leg extends out approx. 19". The images do not capture the detailed grotesque faces that truly shows great craftsmanship. Because of their heavy weight. We have no means of shipping them. The successful bidder must make arrangements to pick them up. These andirons have been appraised by a large Los Angeles Auction House for a conservative estimate of between $800-$900. The starting price listed on eBay is much less. Condition is good ,original and above all heavy.
