Description: Antique 19th C. High Quality German Meissen porcelain very well dressed gardener figurine of man holding a mug alongside a watering pot on a stump and leaning on a shovel. Beautiful coloring and detail to this Meissen figure. The overall condition is v ery good except: a corner of the shovel is missing (approx: 1/8" x 1/8") and is not available . Some of the usual lacing is missing. A minor amount of paint is missing and the porcelain is showing through the left knuckle of the left hand (see photo #2 closeup) which is not that noticeable . The measurement is 7 3/4" tall. The base is 2 3/4" across. The widest part of the figure is 4". The figurine is marked on the bottom with the under glaze Meissen crossed sword mark with a single line through it. It has what appears to be the makers initials, 3 incised numbers and the red #39 mark . No other chips, cracks or repairs. Please see all closeups of photos for any important details.
