~ Antique French Morbier Wall Clock ~c.1800'sA beautiful old French country, bell strike clocklooking for a new home and knowledgeable owner who'sup to some light TLC restoration ~ This includes a key(marked India 11-5.00) and leader, but does not includeit's original swag pendulum ~ However, I do have a newreproduction pendulum that I'll be listing separately.I am NOT knowledgeable regarding the inner workingsof clocks, but am happy to describe what I see andanswer your questions to the best of my ability...So Ask Away!I'm able to rotate the minute hand to thehour and it rings the appropriate number oftimes, as well as, one ring on the half hourThe inner brass clock plate is marked~ ROMANET Morbier France - 75100 ~The dark patina'd brass frame is highlyembossed and highlights a large genie's lampsurrounded by dainty florals & berries...someof which are hand painted with the originalold blue, bronze and cream paintsThe porcelain dial is near perfect with Roman numeralsand is marked with the original seller's name ~ Videl ~located in ~ a Carmaux ~ France ~ The brass hands areever-so-lightly tarnished and in good working conditionIt's A Beauty!The overall size is 18" high x 13" wide x 7 1/2" deepThe circular dial is 9" in diameterThe metal housing box is 10 1/4" squareA hefty 9 lbs.
