Nice 19thc Tiffany & Co Gansevoort Medal Albany Academy for The Best English Essay. The medal is in near mint condition. Never engraved with the winners name. There is a chip out of the top rim that can be seen in the photo. I don't know what it is made of. It is marked on the bottom "Tiffany & Co." It measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter. The strick of the building is crisp and very clear. Gansvoort was a famous Civil War General who after the war was on the board of trustees of the Albany Academy.
