1c Blue Sc. 8A on cover, plated by Ashbrook, PF cert. 1c Blue, Ty. IIIa (8A). Plate 1E, large margins on three sides, just in at left, part of adjoining stamp at right, tied by red "Boston . Paid Aug. 9" circular datestamp to folded printed illustrated notice (illustration for Gleason's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion inside). Very Fine, signed by Ashbrook who notes "early use...most unusual and rare", with 1986 P.F. certificate. ____________________________________________________________
