Offered is a replacement 1L6 tube for your Zenith Trans Oceanic. It uses the same circuit as my other 1L6 replacements, but was made a bit smaller to fit inside a miniture tube envelope! If you're interested in a solid state replacement that is more "tube-like" in appearance, it is! Photo is of a typical unit. I also make these without the tube envelope for $5 less, email for details. 1L6 tubes are getting hard to find, and they have a relatively short life. Just plug this solid-state replacement into the 1L6 socket! Re-alignment of your radio will not be necessary since the capacitances of the inputs and outputs of this device are made to be very close to those of a 1L6 tube. It uses the latest JFET and dual-gate MOSFET transistors and easily outperforms the 1L6 on the upper frequency bands with improved sensitivity and conversion gain. I have run one of these in my transoceanic for many hours with excellent results. This device should have a virtually unlimited life under normal operating conditions.
