This coin is very "rare", it is from the Historic Colorado Mining Series, featuring the The First Gold Rush - 1858 Series . Both sides silver and gold plating have a "cameo finish", I have only seen 2 of these coins in 10 years. This is a pure .999 silver coin with 24k gold plating. On the front is the Great American Eagle trimmed in 24k gold including the rim, the Eagles talonsare clinging to gold twigs. His wings are fully spread with a banner between them, which reads: 24 KARAT GOLD 999 PURE SILVER. The lettering is perfect, looking at it though a loupe, I can not find any contact marks, t is a very small area on the back in the sky that was missed with the 24k plating, this error is barely noticeable, it does not take anything away from the coins full cameo finish luster, it is truly a beautiful coin. The back shows an Old Prospector, with his gear and burro walking on the banks of a very mild running river, t is snow on the foreground and the foothills, high mountains in the background, winter time in the Rockies, the details are astonishing. It has a partial reeded edge. Please view the enlarged pictures and judge this coin for yourself. Size: 1,7/16" in diameter, 1/8" thick with a weight of 20.0 grams troy, of .999 pure silver with a 24 karat gold plating on both front and back. This coin would enhance any casino coin collection, is in next to mint condition for being over 9 years old. This cameo finish silver and gold casino collector coin will come in its original capsule sealed in a small bubble bag, shipped in 4" x 7" bubble envelope along with the packing slip . Delivery confirmation included in FREE shipping. Some history of the Silver Strike Machine and this series of coins The .25 ¢ Sliver Strike Slot Machine . From 1995 to 2000 t were Silver Strike Slot Machines in every casino all over the United States, on cruise ships and river boats, these machines varied in type, some paid one pure silver coin, others paid a silver and 24k gold coin, then t the were the machines that would pay one silver and brass collector series token. This coin came from Central City, Black Hawk or Cripple Creek Colorado. When the 3 collectors coins would line up on the the pay line, one pure silver and 24k gold plated coin would be paid from the hopper for a $28 jackpot. This coin was minted especially for the .25 ¢ Sliver Strike Slot Machines in Colorado. T were 3 in this series but they do have several different variations on the backs, like some have a running stream with lots of ripples, lakes, slow running streams with small ripples. Others show spring time with grass and foliage, the prospector is dressed in different clothing for summer or winter, in some strikes he's wearing glasses, small minor changes that only a true collector would notice. The third and rarest coin is the .999 silver Gold Rush with only the Eagle plated in 24k gold, I have only see two of these in ten years. This coin is also very rare, it is one of the only coins I have seen in 10 years with a full cameno finish on both sides. The .25 ¢ Sliver Strike Slot Machine Retirement . All the Silver Strike Slot Machines have been retired, as will as all the silver coins, pure silver coins with 24k gold trim, as well as the silver and brass tokens, all the Colorado coins and tokens are now rare collector items.
