This highly collectible Barbie has never been removed from the original shipping carton (see last photo) except to photograph it ! Issued in 1996 by the Barbie Collectible/Specialty Doll Division of Mattel, Inc., this is the FIRST IN THE SERIES of Coca-Cola's Fashion Classic Series! The Soda Fountain Sweetheart Barbie is the first in a series of Barbie dolls dressed in beautiful fashions inspired by the exquisite ensembles featured in Coca-Cola advertising. This particular Barbie was inspired by a famous 1907 Coca-Cola advertisement as reproduced on her packaging. Holding a glass of "Coke" as this Barbie does , the lovely Coca-Cola girls graced calendars, trolley signs, elaborate window displays and even bookmarks in some of the most beautiful advertising ever produced! This particular SODA FOUNTAIN SWEETHEART was stored in a SMOKER'S HOUSEHOLD in the original box, within the original shipping carton, since its purchase in 1996. Other than smoke odor, this Barbie is in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
