Vladimir Kagan Designer Era Hollywood Regency Chairs!ViNTaGe 1955 Contoured Occasional Chairs / Last Matched PAIR - ONE MONEY UNMISTAKABLY 50's DESIGNER LINES - CONFIDENTLY CURVED EBONIZIED HARDWOOD SCISSORS LEG FRAMES ALTHOUGH 3 CHAIRS ARE PICTURED, one chair has already been sold , so you are now bidding on the LAST PAIR OF CHAIRS for ONE MONEY (this is not a Dutch Auction). Both chairs are more or less in the same overall condition. Upholstered in off-white leather, now looking more ivory. T are marks, scabs, and imperfections on each chair, so if you are expecting perfection please move on... They are in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION - DATE TO 1955 (one is marked underneath). Old school hand-tied springs still holding strong with no seating issues (like springs popping thru). Button backs, and all buttons are present. INCREDIBLE EXPOSED NAIL-HEAD DETAIL (and incredibly, only one head is missing). Really swell overal condition once you look past these age related imperfections. Sturdy, solid, heavy chairs that shown no sign of damage or repair. Wood has the original black ebonized finish showing scuffs, finish loss and the like. A couple of the back legs show shallow surface chips right at the foot edge (see photos). Leather has pin holes, scratches, nicks and many other imperfections, but the killer designer lines tell the real story Remarkable biomorphic shapes created by Kagan are unique and easy on the eye. His few-of-a-kind angular shapes are a real standout. These appear to be oddly animated waiting room furniture that would work well in any home, office or studio setting. These chairs are not labeled but certainly have "THE RIGHT LOOK". UNDENIABLY from Kagan's most iconic Mid Century Modern Period - 1955. Recently obtained from the estate of a venerable retiring law practice. These are larger, heavy Perry Mason Style chairs: about 30 inches tall; 26-27 inches from back to front; 21 inch seat depth; and the seat front is a generous 25 inches wide. Great chairs - you will be pleased! You are bidding on THE FINAL PAIR of CHAIRS We will ship ONLY via Greyhound GPX Greyhound Package Xpress for a flat fee of 68.00 PER CHAIR to any Greyhound Destination within the Continental US (West Coast destinations add 10.00 per chair due to the new fuel surcharge). Chairs will be shipped in 2 separate boxes. T is no combined shipping as each chair will take its own box and due to weight of each will be the only way to manage. You then pick these up on arrival at your local terminal. Cost includes: final value insurance up to 300.00 per box, our boxing material and labor, plus our delivery to GPX for final shipping to your local Greyhound Destination. No local pick-up.
