Listed for sale are two dinosaur tracks from the Early Jurassic(~200 million year old) East Berlin Formation of Holyoke,Massachusetts. The first track, which is preserved as a natural cast (the actual sediment that filled in the footprint and hardened into stone, not a man-made reproduction) measures 5.75 inches long by 3.75 inches wide and is preserved on a slab of red shale measuring 7.5 by 5.25 inches. It belongs to the ichnogenus (a genus name based on trace fossils) Grallator ,which were made by small theropod (carnivorous) dinosaurs, such as Podokesaurus . The curvature of the middle toe print indicates that the track was made by the left foot of the animal as it stepped in the mud. The track has been highlighted with black paint, which can be washed off if so desired. The second track is preserved as a mold (the actual depression made by the foot as the animal stepped) and measures measures 6.1 inches long by 3.75 inches wide (it was a bit wider, but the tip of the right toe print was broken off and lost during collection). The track has a maximum depth of 0.33 inches. It belongs to the ichnogenus Anchisauripus ,which was made by slightly larger theropod dinosaurs, such as Coelophysis . The curvature of the middle toe print indicates that the track was made by the left foot of the animal as it stepped in the mud. The pads read more
