Available for your consideration is Two(2) Antique 1892 + 1912 Personal Diaries ~ Journals both belonging to the same woman in Hoosick, NY We just purchased these small antique diaries or journals from a Local Estate Auction Sale along with some other antique small - miniature books and personal diaries, that you will find listed in our other auctions tonight. These small early journals are in Very Good Condition for their age, but are showing their age Both covers are intact (as well as the spines) and all pages are still firmly in place This first one is red marked on the front STANDARD DIARY NO 613 approx. 5" X 2 1/2" I have taken a lot of pictures for this auction, and the auctions for the other books, please view them all and use them to determine condition for yourself Offered AS IS - AS FOUND written inside Mrs. V. M. Armstrong Hoosick, NY Feb 29, 1892 although interestingly, the first entry is Wed Jan 6, 1892 but entries before Feb 29 are spotty and few - I am assuming the "post - wrote" them She faithfully records in her diary at least several times each week with more to say some weeks and days than others "Moses sick all day" "Pleasant. Mrs. Brate + Ballard today. They went to New England to Baptist Church in evening" " Rained in afternoon. Ned Wilcox in morn. after his mustang to go to Grafton. Harry to dinner. Moses drove Lance on the carriage. Harry cut Fremont's hair" Pages nice and clean - easily readable she wrote right up to the end of the year and then recorded additional information at the end of the book The second one is "binder style" flip open the piece on the front to hold the flap closed is missing other than that cover in decent condition with wear and holes approx. 4" X 2 1/2" same owner Mrs. Armstrong 1912 Again good conditon pages that are easy to read "Easter Warm Windy Fair Dora went to early service. Sarah + Harry went to church. Sarah wore her new dress. Ma went home with Frank after dinner. Sarah + Helen went as far as Brimmers when Harry went home. Rained later.
