We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure 2 antique advertising stoneware beater jars.In the making and formation process on the inside of the jars they made them rounded out for beating eggs ect..The first one has a 3/8" dark blue band all the way around the lower center.Then above the band in blue lettering it has the name WESSON OIL.Below the band it states FOR MAKING GOOD THINGS TO EAT.The beater jar is in good condition.It does have a 3" hair line crack on one side.Also on the outside towards the lower part of this crack it has a small 1/16" round flake out of the glazing.On the extreme lower bottom edge in an area of about 1 1/4" in the throwing and making process they did not get all the pottery even tfore the glaze did not cover this area.Around the top edge of the beater jar a 1/2" wide is a band all the way around the top which is wider than the rest of the jar.So tfore it measures 4 5/8" across the top and 4 3/8" across the bottom.It stands 5 1/8" high.The next jar has 2 little over 1/8" blue bands all the way around towards the top and bottom.In between these bands it states RED WING BEATER JAR EGGS CREAM SALAD DRESSING.This has a 5/8" band across the top which is wider than the bottom.It measures 5 1/8" across the top and 4 3/4" across the base.It stands 4 3/4" high also.This beater jar is in a strong good condition. read more
