This auction is for a stunning and unusual pair of Bohemian emerald green glass and gilt demitasse cups and saucers. These are cased pieces, the clear glass was cased in green glass which was cut back to the clear glass, causing the green areas to be raised. The cups feature hexagon bases with one large panel w the handle is attached and five other panels with with green centers and alternating patterns of extensive gilt decoration on clear glass around the green glass. The faceted handle is covered in gilt. The saucers repeat the pattern of raised green glass in a total of ten panels. The bottoms of the cups and saucers are ground. The cups are 2" tall and 2-1/2" in diameter at the top. The saucers are 3-7/8" in diameter. I have a matching pair of cobalt and gilt demitasse cups and saucers in another auction. The demitasse cups and saucers are in extremely good to excellent condition. These were cabinet pieces and I can find no signs of wear. T are no chips, cracks or scratches. Any white spots are a reflection from the camera. T are no identifying maker's marks, but the craftsmanship is exceptional on these pieces. Note: The freight charge is an estimate, we don't box our items before the auction closes. Shipping charges are actual cost (USPS Priority Mail), t are no packaging or handling charges. We will gladly combine multiple auctions to save on shipping costs. We offer a three-day return policy only if the item is not as described and if it is returned in the same condition it was shipped in. I'm not an expert on everything and I try to describe items as best I can. Personal checks take 7 - 10 business days to clear. Items paid with Paypal, money orders or cashier's checks ship within 1 - 2 business days. Funds must be received within 7 days of close of auction unless otherwise agreed to.
