TwoBritish RAF, (Royal Air Force), Type "H" Oxygen Masks In Relic Condition. The"H" type oxygen mask first saw service late in 1944 and continued to be used into the 1980's. This example is dated 4-52 and has its original microphone with cloth covered electrical wire and jack plug, which are in overall VG condition; the microphone switch moves freely, the wire is supple and completely intact; the jack plug is present and in VG condition, as well. The cloth and elastic strap attaching harness exhibits moderate, to near heavy, signs of age, use, and soil; the metal attaching clip and double snap helmet attachments are present and exhibit light signs of age; overall, the harness is well used but intact and completely serviceable and the metal hardware is all in VG condition. The green rubber face mask is aged and soiled; it size is, "medium," and marked with the British "Broad Arrow." The rubber is still very supple, however, the rubber area around the microphone has completely separated from the mask, (the microphone is still fairly secured to the mask); t is light cracking around the inlet pipe, (unfortunately t is no inlet hose), as well as moderate to heavy cracking around the exhaust outlet.
