Two cabinet photos of a train wreck. The photos are undated and no photographer information. No information on the photos as to when or w the wreck took place. Please note that this auction is only for the two photographs. I have included scans of 8 postcards of the same accident and t are some clues in the cards. First, one of the engines is marked Oregon Short Line. Second, one of the cars is marked Built New 1-10 which I would presume means it was manufactured in 1910. It appears to be a head-on collision between engines 1254 and 1288. Those are the numbers on the coal tenders...does that indicate engine number or just coal tender number? The only reference to a head-on collision for the Oregon Short Line was in 1913 at Soda Springs, Idaho. The eight postcards are of the same accident but are on a separate auction listing. They are for reference only. The two photos are in good condition, some soiling and foxing. Corners have wear and one small pinhole in corner on one photo. I will combine shipping so if you want to bid on the eight postcards you won't have to pay an extra mailing cost. S&H for the 2 photos is $3.50
