Avon 1876 Cape Cod Collection RUBY RED Set of 2 Dinner Plates NEW IN BOX This auction is for a beautiful set of two Avon 1876 Cape Cod Collection "Dinner Plates". They are mint in their original boxes w they have been in storage since they were purchased years ago. The winning bidder gets 2 plates total. I carefully removed them from the boxes to take photos and immediately put them back in the boxes. Any white specks that show up on the photos are just dust - they are not marks on the glass. The 1876 Cape Cod Collection is reminiscent of early American pressed glass called "Sandwich Glass." It featured lacy, intricate designs, fine background stippling, and exquisite brilliance which reflected the superb craftsmanship of its makers.
