This nifty little work stand, or end table, measures 20Ã,Â" by 17Ã,Â" by 29Ã,Â" high, and is constructed of several different woods. The drawer fronts are highly-figured mahogany veneer, the legs are maple, and the sides and top are poplar. The combination is striking.
Each drawer has its original lock, with one key for both. The wooden knobs on the lower drawer appear to be the originals. The finish is an older one - certainly not original, but probably done 50 or so years ago. The stand has been in my family for at least 50 years, and in my living room for the last 20. Overall condition is good to very good - say a 7 or 8 on the infamous scale of 10. The photos show some slight dings in the light-colored maple legs, a small piece of missing veneer on the front, and a small area of damage on the rear of the top -perhaps a bit of residue from the bottom of an oil lamp? All in all, a very nice piece of early American furniture. If you are in the Florida - Georgia area, there is a good possibility of delivery either free, or at a reduced rate, as we travel in that area frequently. Please donÃ,Â't hesitate to request additional information or more detailed pictures. Both are readily available. ALSO, please donÃ,Â't fail to check the other items we are offering. On the left side of this page, under the photo, please click Ã,Â"View DealerÃ,Â's Other ItemsÃ,Â" to scan our offerings of 1775 - 1875 antique American furniture, ship and pond models, other nautical items, rare tools and usually some other neat stuff.
