PAIR Vintage 1950s Ivory White Eames designed fiberglass armshell chairs with silver legs in excellent condition! Prominent fiberglass strings throughout! Each chair has it's original labels with patent numbers. The final design patent number listed (D155275) dates to 1949 and the final patent number (2738835) dates to 1956. I purchased these from a company that was relocating. Their original building was constructed in 1959 and I was told that these were purchased new from Herman Miller when the building was built. The building was full of wonderful original George Nelson modular sofas and Noguchi wire hurricane & Saarinen tulip tables. These chairs do not appear to have had much use as condition is very nice and shiny with only minor age wear! A wonderful pair of this mid-century modern design icon! This is the type that has the rubber shock mounts on the underside so t are no screws visible on the seat. All plastic feet are original, t is one missing on one of the chairs but i ordered a new one from Herman Miller and will include that in the package with these. Lucky winner can pick these chairs up in downtown Kansas City , MO or I can send by UPS or Greyhound. I unfortunately do not have time to give shipping estimates to everyone who inquires but rest assured I will do my best to find the most economical method and I only charge actual shipping cost, never a "handling" fee.
