at auction a very rich and elegant looking pair of circa 1940's designer slipper chairs. These swanky, ultra sophisticated chairs are just superb and would fit into just about any interior setting from deco to modern. They have a very distinctive look and stance and are most definately in the 40's design style reminiscent of Billy Haines or George Nelson, with their curvaceous flowing forms and the wonderfully tapering and splaying solid wood legs. They are in excellent condition and are super clean-ready to use. They look to have been professionally reupholstered possibly in the 80's in a soft rich velvet that is very-very clean with no marks or stains. This is a beautiful vintage set of chairs and we will be happy to answer any and all questions so please ask before bidding. They are 28in tall-29in deep-29in wide. This set is available for pickup or we offer a flat rate pack-ship fee, the pair to your door for $226 or Greyhound $163 (please contact us for GH insurance limits). Payment by certified-bank-cashier-personal checks accepted, no paypal on this item. Check out our other auctions for more Mid-Century items.
