VINTAGE ~ Lot of TWO ~ ** FORD ** Enamel & Silver Screwback Pins THREE DAY AUCTION! ~ NO RESERVE ~ ITEM: Vintage Silver & Enamel Ford Screwback Lapel Pins SIZE: Each Pin Measures: 5/8" in height; Slightly over 1/2" in width Please Note: Pictures have been magnified for better viewing. Please refer to measurements above for actual size. Thank you! ITEM DETAILS: This auction features TWO vintage, Ford car silver and enamel lapel pins. Quite frankly, I didn't realize they were connected to the automobile maker until I researched it. Each is a "screwback" style pin, and likely dates from the 1940s-1950s. They have a shield shape, with red, white and blue enamel inside. T are also three gold-tone lions inside this enameling. The top simply reads, "FORD." The overall metal appears to be a silver -tone (neither piece is marked, so I assume it is only a base metal). They both still bear the screwback closures on the back, as well. Please Note: This is a THREE DAY AUCTION ending on MONDAY EVEN ING . Thanks! :) CONDITION: Fair to Fair Minus - I am considering the age and use of these items when factoring the condition. As these two pins are older, I would say they rate in Fair to Fair Minus condition for the age . T are definite surface scratches seen, particularly to the backs and to the sides. The most obvious problem appears to be wear to the silver-tone metal. This is most obvious on the, "FORD" text, but also appears around the edges, as well. The base metal does show through on these areas, too. Oddly enough, the rest of the internal enameling, though, appears to be free from chips and/ or cracks (I checked very closely with my loupe, and could not find any chips or missing pieces). Aside from the wear to the silver-tone, I do not see any other major issues with it. With age and use considered, I would still say they rate in Fair to Fair Minus condition overall. Please keep in mind that they do have the wear to the silver-tone, and would not be considered in perfect, or even good, condition. Thank you! :) AGE/ YEAR MADE: Although exact age is unknown, I do believe they are vintage -- likely from the 1940s-1950s (as the screwback closures would suggest) Hi, Thanks for stopping by to view this auction. All item details are above, but if you should have further questions please email and I will be happy to help you! Bidding starts very low with NO RESERVE!! If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate contacting me. Thanks, and happy bidding! :) Important Information: PLEASE READ!
I do my very best to accurately describe the items that I sell on ebay, listing their imperfections just as much as their attributes. I always note flaws very carefully so that t are no surprises when an item is received. They are mostly used items, though, and sometimes I may miss something. In the past, I have had people not thoroughly reading the descriptions, and not understanding, even though I post it, that MOST of my items are not in "mint" condition. In fact, I never even use the word, "mint" to describe an item. If you do not want a used item, PLEASE DO NOT BID! At the same time, do not be fooled by my sometimes low opening bids. They almost never truly reflect the actual value of any item, and are priced in such a way because I like to keep with the fun and excitement of an actual auction. I strive to make your experience with me as excellent as I can, but if you do not contact me for assistance, or do not read the description thoroughly, I do not feel I am even being given a chance. Most of my customers have been very happy with their purchases, many expressing that I OVER analyze the flaws, but the few problems that I have had in the past has forced me to put this "disclaimer" in. PLEASE CONTACT ME if you are unhappy! I will do everything possible to correct the problem! If you are unhappy with your purchase, you are welcome to return it for a full refund within 7 days, simply paying for return shipping. Insurance IS required for all breakable/glass items, and is STRONGLY SUGGESTED for ...
