2 Gallon Western Stoneware Pickle Crock Monmouth, Ill.

is a great old Western Stoneware crock like your grandma and grandpa used to put up pickles or make sauerkraut in. This is the two gallon size, it is marked with the number 2, a maple leaf and a round seal that says WESTERN STONEWARE COMPANY MONMOUTH ILL. in blue ink stamp. It measures 9½" tall and 9¼" in diameter. It is in good condition for it's age with a hairline crack that runs across part of the bottom and up the left side for a ways. It also has a very old chip on the edge of the base. Still displays well and would hold some kindlin' by your fireplace real nicely. I do have local pick-up if you are close to Sunset Hills, Missouri. Please see my other auctions for a nice six gallon crock!

Please see the photographs above for details and let me know if you have any questions.

*** Before Bidding Please Read the Fine Print ***
eBay has significantly changed their rules and policies to make the buyer's experience better. This has made it so I have much more latitude in pleasing my customers - and need many less rules! The high bidder is expected to pay shipping and insurance costs (if insurance is desired). I do not charge for handling - you pay only shipping to your area - no hidden charges! We accept PayPal, US money orders, or US checks. I ship worldwide. Please see the shipping calculator at the bottom of the auction for shipping quotes in advance. Auctions not paid for within ten days of auction close will be considered abandoned and non-paying bidder alerts will be filed.

Insurance is optional on my items. I pack very well (see my feedback) and very rarely have problems, but I still recommend shipping insurance on expensive or fragile items. I cannot be responsible for uninsured items.

Most of the items I list are antique, unique, vintage, rare, or otherwise difficult to obtain. I do my best to determine and accurately describe the condition of every item I list, and include pictures, sometimes very detailed close-up photos, with each listing. Inevitably, t will at times be details that I either miss or do not know to look for. For this reason, I ask that any potential bidders email me any pertinent information prior to bidding on an item if t is a question as to its appearance or functionality, especially any question that only a person with significant expertise on the particular item would likely know. If I inadvertently make a glaring error in my description, I will correct it either by means of a refund or a discount of the purchase price. By submitting a bid on this listing, the buyer agrees to all of the terms as described in this listing, and to eBay's user terms.
