We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure 2 vintage GOLDEN AGE DC SUPERMAN PUBLICATION comic books with a .10 cent cover price. They are both titled SUPERMAN and are consecutive issues,No. 46 MAY-JUNE 1947 and NO. 47 JULY-AUGUST 1947.Under the title SUPERMAN on both comics it has REG. U.S. PAT. OFF..On the 46 issue towards the upper right hand corner it has the previous owners name in pencil writing and on the No. 47 issue in the same area they have the name in ink pen writing. Also this issue has some pencil notations on the upper left hand corner which was put t by the store that sold the comic originally. We are not expert comic book graders but will try to describe them as best as we can.The No. 46 issue shows wear, creasing and it has a few little split areas on the spine.T is alittle tearing on the upper top staple which causes the inner pages of the comic which are together to be loose from the outside cover in that area. The upper right hand corner has bending and creasing with an 1/8" tear. The right edge of the front cover has several tears from 1/16' to 1/2".T are acouple 1/8" tears on the bottom edge and some bending and creasing in the lower right hand corner.T is a little over 1 1/2" tear with acouple bends on the lower left hand spine edge. The front inside and back inside covers have some light age discoloration. The front inner cover has a small round stain spot. The back inner cover also has some creasing and tearing on the spine edge.T is a vintage DAISY RED RYDER AIR RIFLE ad.The back outer cover shows some wear and creasing.T is alittle tattering on the top and bottom spine edge.It has acouple tiny tears on the bottom edge and a 1/4" tear on the left border edge with a bend in the upper corner. The first several pages have some light staining. As you get into them it is less so.They also have a small 1/16" to 1/8" tears on the border edge. The first two inner pages have a piece torn off of the top right hand corner. The next page has a bend in the upper right hand corner. The rest of the pages in the comic are slightly turned down in the same area.T is a vintage WHEATIES ad with acouple stained spots on the right border edge.Several pages in from the back page t is a alittle over 1/4" tear bend. The second comic shows much tattering, wear and creasing on the spine area which has started to roll. The spine has torn about 1" up on the spine edge of the front cover and t is a 3/8" tear to the right of the bottom of the lower staple. The front cover has some creasing with alittle light soiled spots towards the lower right hand corner.T is a 1/2",1" and 1/8" tear on the bottom edge. The right side edge of the front cover has a 3/8" and 1/2" tear. The top edge of the spine area is worn with alittle tiny piece missing of the cover in that area. Also on the edge of the spine it has worn through and left some little holes on the spine edge. The front inner cover has acouple round small stained areas with light age discoloration which holds true for the back inner cover without the staining. The back outer cover has some creasing and a 1/8" and 1/4" tear on the left edge that is not by the spine. The inner pages appear to be in a strong good condition.T is a printed story and much vintage advertising.Three or four pages in from the back we found one little bent corner on the right edge.We have photo'd the covers and several inner pages on both comics to give interested parties some idea of the condition and contents contained within the comic. We are listing these SUPERMAN Golden Age comic books at a no reserve selling price. So,thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On both comics none of the inner pages are loose or missing. Both are complete and readable.
