I WILL BE ADDING MANY MORE ART DECO LIGHTING PIECES IN THE COMING DAYS AND WEEKS, SO PLEASE ALSO ADD ME TO YOUR FAVOURITE SELLERS.A beautiful and rare French art deco ceiling light/fixture dating from the mid 1920s. The light is remarkable in that it is in absolutely perfect condition, and although the glass is not signed, it is clear from the style and quality of the piece that it is undoubtedly the work of Loys Lucha who produced art glass at Paris and Nancy in France during the art deco period. The nine-sided pate de verre shade is a wonderful combination of soft pink and white frosted glass that forms an eye-catching floral pattern. The design is particularly sharp as the outlines of the flowers are clear glass set against the frosting. The quality of the craftsmanship in pieces produced by Loys Lucha is evident from the magnificent diamond-cluster texture of the underside of the glass, and I hope that this texture and the effect of the light shining through it can be clearly seen in the photographs. The light is suspended by a single chrome arm and ceiling rose. T are two light fittings above the glass shade that take standard bulbs, and the light is fully wired for use and in perfect working order. A really beautiful and rare 1920s French art deco ceiling light by Loys Lucha. I never clean or polish antique or vintage items and leave this decision to the buyer. Electrical items should always be checked and installed by a qualified electrician. MEASUREMENTSHeight: 19.5 inches (approx 50cm). Width of the glass shade: 15 inches (approx 38cm).
