Collectors and discriminating homeowners alike will appreciate these 2 lovely Sterling Silver Salad Forks by Reed & Barton in the Francis I pattern . These forks are in Excellent Used Condition , with minimal wear and tear. The handles feature the Cursive Reed & Barton Hallmark which dates these pieces post-1940. T are no monograms on these forks. Each weighs 1.3 oz. on my postal scale and measures 6 1/8 inches long. Francis 1st is currently in production. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase timeless heirlooms at a significant savings. Priced to sell - NO RESERVE! The origins of the firm of Reed & Barton can be traced to the early 1820's. It has a will deserved reputation for elaborate intricate designs and superb craftsmanship. The "Francis 1" pattern was designed by Ernest Meyer and introduced in 1906. It is so spectacular that each piece stands alone as pure art. the pattern took 3 years to complete and has a design so intricate and detailed it has to be studied to be truly appreciated.
