I had an ancestor that was alway's doing something with Sea Shells. She recently passed away in her 90's. She had a beautiful old 5 bedroom Victorian Home that was loaded with Sea Shells Folk Art. Her whole entire house was done with Sea Shell Decor on the inside. Totally beautiful home. My wife and I inherited her estate and have boxes and boxes stacked in one of our bedrooms of all kinds of items. We are keeping some of her work and have been selling some of her work on Ebay and have actually auctioned off a few things at our local auction house. My ancestor started doing her Sea Shell work many many years back. Sometime in the early 1930's she started doing Sea shell projects and in the late 60's era she developed arthritis really bad and was not able to do her projects anymore. This piece is from the 1960's era. Very beautiful colors and she made these with glass beads, old jewelry pearls and sea shells. The frame is made of gold and is like a shadow box. The pieces in person are really colorful. They measures 8 inches by 6 inches in size. All hand done! She was very picky about her art works and kept them very clean and dust free. So these are in wonderful clean looking condition with no repairs needed and can be placed on your wall upon arrival. I think the bidder will be pleased. It is truely a beautiful piece of Folk Art done by a Sea Shell Artist that is no longer alive. She made over 1000 items and we are keeping alot and have been selling her works like crazy. Each item we have been unpacking we have been photographing her works and plan to assemble a book about her works of art. All sales are final!
