This auction is for 2 original single panel 1964 & 1965 TRUDY Comic artwork by Jerry Marcus for his TRUDY strip. Marcus had his Trudy strip syndicated by King Features in 1963 so these 2 are quite early. The 1964 comic shows Ted in a chair reading the newspaper and Trudy talking in the next room saying "It all started when he taught the dog to bring his slippers !". The 1965 comic shows Trudy and Ted watching the TV repairmen carrying a TV away and says "Well, back to reading, talking and generally getting to know each other again". It ran from then well into the 1990's. He passed away in 2005. I have several other auctions for similar strips running right now. I purchased these from his estate so they are guaranteed original. I have others and other gag type artwork of his if you are interested. T is other handwritten marks and comments on it from the original publishing process. Measures about 9 1/2" x 11 1/2". Marcus did lots of gag cartoons also for Saturday Evening Post, Colliers, True, Womans Home Journal, Playboy, Argosy, Life and many other publications. His Trudy strip was published in many newspapers worldwide. Please email me with any questions. Buyer pays actual postage. No extra packing or handling fee. I accept paypal, Money orders, and personal checks. International bidders must use Paypal. Thanks for looking and biddiing.
