's a very nice stag horn handled carving set consisting of just the carving knife and fork. For reference the knife is 16" long. The blade of the knife is marked as shown in the inset photo, HENRY SEARS & SON, 1865, WARRANTED. The fork bears no mark. The knife has been sharpened many times over the years and shows wear, and is currently honed to a very sharp edge. The stag handles are quite large and of good color.. the fork being brighter than the knife. The decorative sleeves are large (1-1/2" at widest) and have embossed organic designs. Both are stamped STERLING at the top . The ends of the stag handles have conformal oval disks similarly embossed, both marked STERLING and riveted to the base. These are a little loose. The Sterling components have not been polished as I like the patina. A very lovely set. Please read payment instructions below prior to bidding. Thanks.
