FREE SHIPPING Two (2) - 7X9 (odd size) black and white photos of a Pure Oil Company service station on South Main Street (exact street address is not known) in Mechanicsburg, OH. Neither photo has the traditional white border around them which may explain the unusual size. The address is written on the back of both photos, but neither is dated although "McKeon 36" is written on the lower right hand corner of each photo which leads us to believe that these photos were taken in 1936. We believe that the 1st generation photo was taken right before it was demolished and the replacement station photo taken right after it was constructed. The automobiles in both photos support a circa 1930's photo. Photo 1 - 1st generation station. You can see the PURE aboveground tank to the right of the photo along with a nice shot of some vintage automobiles. Note that the ladies restroom is in the building next door. Photo is in very good condition. Photo 2 - the traditional Pure Oil cottage design and a very nice picture. Note that the ladies restroom is either still in the building next door or they forgot to take down the sign. 2 nice pictures of 2 generations of Pure Oil stations. Comes with a Pure Oil Company envelope (not pictured in listing). Would make a great addition to anyone collecting Pure Oil Company photos and/or memorabilia.
