ITEM Rare Daum Nancy art glass open salt; cameo glass with acid etching and enameling. The flowers are red nameled and raised, as are the leaves which are a dark green and orange enamel. The combination of cameo, acid etching and enameling is rare. That t are 2 matching is even less common AGE circa 1910, based on the mark. This is from the estate of Florence Cathaleen Renwick, who married Willam Walter Renwick (of the Museum Renwicks) in 1942. They lived in El Salvador from 1942 until 1949, when William passed away. Cathaleen later lived in Brazil in the late 1950's. She was quite the collector, especially of fine things, and more especially of Mexican silver. She also inherited many wonderful pieces from William, who was a bit older, and we think this came from him. CONDITION Perfect, I think, but I have included a picture of the edge of one. It has an indentation. It is not shiny, but has the dull look of the etched glass and it is not sharp anyw I think this was created when the piece was made. If you need more pictures, please email.
