(2) Real Photo SVC 1870s 'Negro Groups' Aiken SC Palmer. Poor condition, multiple creases, corners bumped, a bit grimy, faded. Pasted on labels on back reads 'Characteristic Southern Scenes, Photographed by JA Palmer, Aiken, SC. A large stock of Views of Negro Groups, Cabins, Teams, Cotton Fields and Plants, etc. kept constantly on hand; also Flroida, Georgia and South Carolina Views.' Pencil titles are 'Washing Camp' and 'Going to the Gin'. Probably recently freed slaves.
