2 Vintage Embroidered Standard Pillowcases, Dogwood

These two vintage embroidered pillowcases are so lovely! White dogwood blossoms with leaves and buds sweep up one side and across the top of the case. Instead of a hemmed edge, we find a beige, embroidered, softly curved edge, part of it following the lower part of the flowers. These pillowcases are home made, and I believe all the embroidery was stitched on a sewing machine at home, also. Each flower has a cut-out center, and the petals are all outlined in white. Touches of color are added and t in the flowers, around the centers and tips of the petals. Leaves and stems are done in two shades of green. All tightly stitched, and all in great condition. The cases are cotton, and are clean and stain free. T are a very few tiny specks on one case. I believe they could be removed with some of the modern chemicals we have at our disposal. I find the Clorox Bleach Pen works very well on these old cotton linens. I would have done this myself had I noticed the specks before I sent these out with a batch of linens to be washed and ironed. I really don't feel like redoing them...will leave that up to the buyer if it bothers them at all. They are for a standard size pillow (double bed) measuring approximately 29.50 inches by 21.00 inches. I am pleased to offer this beautiful vintage set today with NO RESERVE.
