Wonderful find from a New York estate. 2 of the same Royal Dux art deco style Harlequin figurine lamps. The lamp bases conform to the shape of the bases of the figurines which leads me to believe they were originally made as lamps or these wonderful embossed bases were very specially made for these fine figurines. The lamps measure 21 1/2" tall and the figurines measure 12" tall. Colors in the figurines are cobalt blue, white and gold (some of the gold has worn). The figurines are removable and one has been removed to show the makers marks and how the figurines were attached to the bases. It appears that the hardware was somehow glued to the base of the figurine and then screwed into the lamp base. I do not believe the hardware is removable. If you want to use these as figurines rather than lamps, you would not see any evidence of hardware when displayed. Both figurines are fully marked and do have the Royal Dux stamp. The pinky finger of the man is broken on the figurine that has been removed from the lamp base. I do not have the broken off part. I am not the best photographer and these figures are just exquisite!
