Up for auction are two vintage 1930's or 40's Kraft Swanky Swig Lids. I bought several of these a couple of years ago, at a Big Estate Sale. I remember they were down in the basement, with all the 100's of canning jars and stuck behind many of them. They are in Good Condition considering they were in a damp basement for many years. Graphics are still pretty good on both. They each measure 2 1/4" across the top. They each have a pat. # which is 2051976. One says: Try Shefford Chevel The faster melting cheese food, and the other is very interesting, as it says: Try Kraft Dinner, Delicious Macaroni and Kraft Grated Both in a Box. If you think about it for a minute, This is before they changed it to: Kraft Macaroni and Cheese in a box. It says it cooks in 7 minutes. The box and the packet of cheese look old. The Shefford Chevel cheese I have never heard of, but it is a swanky swig lid. The back or bottoms of the lids, have a slight bit of corosion, but they still have the rubber washer inside of each. I have two swanky swig glasses up right now on another auction, and you can see that they fit the top of each glass very well. These would make a great addition to your Swanky Swig collection.
