2 WALLACE GRAND BAROQUE 5-PIECE STERLING PLACE SETTINGS

Submitted for your consideration today are these 2 Wallace 5-piece place settings in the Grand Baroque pattern, designed by William S. Warren and introduced in 1941. This auction is for 10 pieces in total, and consists of: 2 solid sterling forks, 2 solid sterling salad forks, 2 knives with sterling handles and stainless blades, 2 butter spreaders with sterling handles and stainless blades, and 2 solid sterling teaspoons. All 10 pieces are in excellent to splendid condition, with only nominal wear from decades of use and polishings, and strong handle detail still present. NONE have monograms, engravings or removals. The 2 forks each measure 7 13/32" in length, by 31/32" widest width, and weigh an average of 2.21 troy ounces each, for a total combined weight of 4.42 troy ounces. The 2 salad forks each measure 6 1/2" in length, by 1" widest width, and weigh an average of 1.42 troy ounces each, for a total combined weight of 2.84 troy ounces. The 2 knives each measure 8 7/8" in length, by 1" widest handle width, and weigh an average of 2.715 troy ounces each, for a total combined weight of 5.43 troy ounces. The 2 butter spreaders each measure 6 1/4" in length, by 25/32" widest handle width, and weigh an average of 1.465 troy ounces each, for a total combined weight of 2.93 troy ounces. The 2 teaspoons each measure 6 1/8" in length, by 1 3/16" widest bowl width, and weigh an average of 1.165 troy ounces each, for a total combined weight of 2.33 troy ounces. All pieces together weigh 17.95 troy ounces. These would make ideal replacements or additions to any set of Wallace, Grand Baroque pattern sterling flatware.
