2 Western Stoneware Old Sleepy Eye "Lunch Hour" Steins

Hi, being offered are (2) large vintage Old Sleepy Eye Indian pottery pitcher Steins. They both measure approx. 7 inches tall and are marked on the bottom with the raised Western leaf as they were on the 1950's director steins, also signed on the bottom of the green stein under glaze is "CONRAD OCT. 20 1954", and on the bottom of the yellow stein "MINNIE (L) or (C)." These were either "lunch hour pieces" or possibly a retirement thing. They both are in good condition, they have age craze and some glaze misses. The green stein has a thin glaze flake on the shoulder of the indian, and three nicks on the end of the handle, t is no other damage, and t are no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The only info. I have on their history is that they were purchased at a sale in Missouri, I will include some info. on a Minnie L. that worked at Monmouth Pottery (as it states in her obituary), she passed away in Missouri, no idea if it could possibly be the same lady. Just thought it was a little interesting that the steins for found in the same state w she was last living and worked at the factory. T is some definite age to them, these are not new pieces, and whatever their history may be they are great looking pieces, both unusual in color. If you have any questions just email.
