These two boxes came from an estate auction of a Jewish family. The box on the left side of the photo is stained dark brown and measures 4 1/4 wide by 3 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. It has brass fittings and is marked 7723 on the inside on both parts of the box. The box on the right side of the photo is stained nearly black and measures 2 3/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches long and is 1 1/2 inches high. It has a gray Star of David inlaid on the top of it. Inside it is padded with lush burgundy colored velvet and has a place for a pocket watch. This is a beautiful pair of wooden boxes and should be part of someone's collection.
