Two (x2) World War II Medals & Ribbon 1 - U.S. American Campaign Medal w/Ribbon plus 1 - U.S. Good Conduct Medal You ar bidding on Two (2) Regular Full-Size (1.25- 1.50 inch diameter) Bronze Tone Medals. They are still in their original boxes. Please see the pictures above/below. I acquired these as part of an estate, but I just can't keep everything and I don't know the personal story behind these particular medals; but according to my research I determined the following: Medal #1 : The American Campaign Medal was a service decoration of the Second World War which was awarded to members of our U.S. Military who performed duty in the American Theater of Operations during World War II. It was created in 1942 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. To be awarded the American Campaign Medal, a service member was required to either perform one year of consecutive duty within the continental borders of the U. S. or perform 30 days consecutive/60 non-consecutive days of duty outside the borders of the United States but within the American Theater of Operations. The American Theater was defined as the entirety of the United States to include most of the Atlantic Ocean, Alaska, and a small portion of the Pacific bordering California and Baja California.
