20 oz. ENGELHARD OLD POUR bar with the old symbol! It's pure silver and and I know that YOU NEED SILVER! If you invest your money is stocks or CD's, what do you have to look at? If you invest in commodities, of what can you take possession? Silver is something you can hold and invest at the same time. This 20 Fine Troy oz. poured bar from Engelhard Refiners is a stamped bar of .999+ fine silver measured down to the thousanth of an ounce. Engelhard is one of the most trusted names in silver bars. The bar in the pictures has the serial number 232807; This is the bar you will get! This bar is poured from the top. The top has a natural shiny cooled look with a lot of character, very shiny! TONS of Character! And you know what I think of character! While this bar is at least 25 years old, it is in GREAT condition! YOU NEED THIS BAR! You will be happy with this bar! Engelhard is the standard in silver bars. I did have to do some research on the old symbol next to the ENGELHARD stamp. I did see, (from another eBay silver seller), that the symbol indicates that it was made in Canada. But if you look closely this symbol seems very familiar. Now if you've followed my auctions, you know what I think of some silver producers using elves, gnomes, trolls, or even leprechauns in the manufacturing of silver bars. Engelhard, I am proud to say, has never had to resort to using elves or secret elfin polishing technologies. But look closely at the symbol; do you see it? Yes, of course it's the StarShip Enterprise. Do you see where I'm going with this? Trebles! Yes, trebles! Now, you know, trebles aren't terribly smart and they don't have any arms to actually help in any way. They are cute and cuddly and make a very soothing, purring sound. But their furry little bodies are great for polishing little silver bars and they reproduce so fast that you can just throw them away, (I mean they can retire), after just one usage.Do you think all I have to do each day is sit around and come up with these terrible stories just to hock silver! SILVER HOCKS ITSELF! Look, if you want quality old pour silver, then this bar is for you! You need silver! This bar wants to be in your collection! It told me so! I've been corrected as to the little symbol. I turns out the symbol indicates that this bar was produced from recycled silver as opposed to freshly mined silver ore. During the early 1980's silver became so valuable that even the big boys looked for more ways to sell more silver. The symbol also indicates that these bars were made in Toronto, Canada, which is still a little alien anyway.
