Up For Auction : 20 FINELY PAINTED 1/72 ZVEZDA 8037 FRENCH CUIRASSIERS Lot comprises : 1 Officer, 1 Guidon bearer, 1 bugler and 17 troopers + 20 horses. Without doubt the best set of the famous Cuirassiers ever produced in plastic at this scale (or any other probably!). The level of detail, poses of troopers and horses is superb. This lot is numerically more than what you get in 1 Zvezda set abd is accurately and finely painted to depict the 4th Regiment of Cuirassiers as they appeared at the Battle Of Waterloo including having their helmet plumes removed as they would have done before battle (with the exception of the Officer, flagbearer and bugler). All 12 of Napoleon's Cuirassier Regiments were present on that fateful day numbering some 4,123 men making them the most numerous cavalry type in the Emperor's army. It was rightly said that 1 in 4 of French cavalrymen was a Cuirassier at the Battle Of Waterloo. Good luck if you bid!
