Up for bid is a 20" tall "Talking Stick" from Dakota Expressions ! This is an authentic style talking stick made with leather, horse hair, feathers and rabbit fur collars. The talking stick was used to give each person in the circle a chance to speak with the respect of the others listening, only the one holding the talking stick was permitted to speak! The patch of leather is written on one side " TALKING STICK, THE ONE WHO HOLDS THE STICK IS THE ONLY ONE TO SPEAK"! This is a fabulous hand made talking stick which reveals the rich heritage of ancient tradition! It would be great accent to drum circles or sweat lodge and would also look great as a rustic home decorating accessory for southwest decor or western ranch or cabin!
