20 USA US SILVER LIBERTY WALKING TYPE HALF DOLLAR COINS

NO RESERVE......ONE CENT TO OPEN...... SEE BELOW FOR VARIOUS DATES AND MINTS. Up for auction is a lot of 20 genuine US Liberty Walking Type Half Dollar Coins. They are more commonly known as 'Walking Liberty Half Dollar' Coins. This listing of silver coins are ready to ship and be sorted to fill in the gaps in your own collection. Or you may want to start a collection. Now for a brief history about these US Silver Liberty Walking Type Half Dollar Coins, and some of the specifications of these coins. First, I must state that each of these 20 US Silver Liberty Walking Half Dollar Coins are legal Tender of the United States of America. T were struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress. Each Coin is a real and an authentic US Liberty Walking Type Half Dollar Coin. Note: Half Dollar is equal to Fifty (.50) Cents. -Designed by Adolph A. Weinman. You can find his monogram (or initials) under the tip of the wing feathers, on the Reverse (or back) to the right of our American Eagle's wing. AW. -Run dates were from 1916-1947. For this listing you are bidding of the coins minted from 1920 to 1947. -Mints that were used to strike the coins were, San Francisco 'S', Denver 'D', and, Philadelphia which has no 'P', and it is blank. You can find most of the mint marks on the bottom, to the left of the Eagles left talon or claw. Coin Reference books note that the Mint marks appeared on the obv under our National Motto. Then t are smaller mint marks within some of the mints and the dates to find as well! NOTE: 1916 & 1917 had mint marks under the Motto. The winner of this auction will have a fun time sorting through this lot of 20 Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars. Determining the smaller mint marks, if any, that are present. -Diameter is 30.61 mm or 1.21'' inches. -Each Half Dollar coin, has a reeded (or a grooved) edge. These are the lines that one sees not only in Half Dollars, but in the US; Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars and (most of the) Dollar coins too. A couple of the coins have rather great looking reeded edges. -Weight is 12.50 grams. -Composition is 0.900 of Pure Silver, and the balance is 0.100 of Copper. -Net Weight is 0.36169 ounces of Pure Silver. Remember this is a lot of 20 coins!$! (7.2338 oz. of Pure Silver!) -Obverse (or heads) is Lady Liberty walking towards you, with the rays of a Rising Sun. It is depicting a new and better day. T is an American Flag behind her out stretched arm in the background. 'LIBERTY' is at the top. Our National Motto 'IN GOD WE TRUST' is to her right. The date is in the center at the bottom. In left hand are branches of Laurel and Oak. Liberty is wearing a Bonnet over her hair. She is wearing sandals too. The dates are clear on most of the coins. A couple of the coins shows that Lady Liberty is wearing a Bonnet on her head. And a hair line above her ear. Some of the coins show a strong lettering for the word 'LIBERTY' and our National Moto 'IN GOD WE TRUST'. -Reverse (or tails) has an American Eagle facing Left. This is the central devise. The top Legend is 'THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' is clear on most of the coins. The Bottom Legend is the denomination of 'FIFTY CENTS'. To the left of our National Symbol is 'E PLURIBUS UNIM'. Both of these look like strong lettering, on most of the coins. It looks like t is an Oak branch in the talons of the Eagle. Remember the mint mark is on the rev. The following are the dates and mint marks that I found within this set of Walking LIberty Half Dollar Coins. You will also note that the mint Quantities are noted too! For Example if t were 1,202, 000 Walking Liberty Type Dollar Coins were minted (or struck), it is represented as ' (1.202) ' for this listing. NOTE: I am going to state that each coin is a Key Date. If you recall or look up in Coin History Books, back in 1980 t was a run...
