Up for sale is a 200 gram lot of turquoise rough from the Bad Boys Mine, Cripple Creek, Colorado. This was mined by me in the summer of 2014. The turquoise is not treated in any way and is completely natural. It is between a 6 and 7 on the mohs hardness scale and cabs up beautifully. Pieces range in color from blue to sea green. This material is rough, straight from the mine, and you can even see slickenlines left behind from the fracture zones in the host granite that the turquoise came from.I have made cabochons from this material before with great success. The last two pictures show some example cabochons from the same material, so you know what it will look like as a finished product (the cabs are not currently for sale). It is very fun to work with and takes a great polish. Pictures were taken wet in natural light (ruler for scale). If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will respond as soon as possible.
