2001 $25 1/2 oz Gold American Eagle BU - Gem Unc excellent eye appeal ~ no distracting marks ~ beautiful color and luster 2001 is considered a better date, a key date is usually quite a bit more valuable than a common date. This coin has a low mintage of 48,047 vs say a 1999 with 564,232. All mintage figures for the Gold Eagle Business strike are listed below. It is a coin you may want to have graded as it is in superb condition. I like the coins raw best, personal preference. Please judge from the photo's what you think it is worth. This coin has been properly stored in saflip(r) 'museum quality' sleeve which it will be shipped in. Coins are kept in the bank safe and only handled with gloves.
