2001 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin complete with a box and certificate of authenticity. This 2001 Proof American Eagle one dollar coin is from the West Point mint and is one ounce of fine Silver.The design is by Adolph A Weinman and has the full length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. The reverse is by the artist John Mercanti and has a Heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.
