Black face is made to look like Monolith on the MOON and EARTH like Stanley Kubrick intended and the best part is that when you look straight onto it you can see your reflection like a black mirror then when you look from the side you can see a brushed metal look, like the aluminum, just like the the real movie HAL 9000, this is a very difficult attribute to recreate like the real movie prop but this is how Kubrick intended HAL to look like and so does this version of HAL! 4. Original blueprints from the 1968 movie, were used, as reference to help create it! 5. Limited to only 92 made! Why only 92 because the HAL 9000 was born in 1992. Each one numbered and signed and including certification of authentication with matching holograms! 6. Has a motion activated red computer eye light that has four settings. High, low, off and automatic shut off after 60 minutes.This light is activated with close motion which was designed this why so if you only want the light and no voice you have that option in addition so that if you activate the HAL's voice you don't turn off the light by mistake. This light is activated by waving your hand 1/2 of inch in front of the clear dome and the best part is that once activated after 60 minutes it will automatically turn off to conserve battery life. ANY other HAL 9000 light has to be turned on with a switch and only has one setting. This one works off motion. Works off of 3 AA batteries and light will last for over 20,000 hours. 7. HAL will say over 45 digital different sound quotes from the actual movie activated by motion and/or light from HAL himself! All you do is walk in front, wave your hand or turn on and off a light source facing HAL and he will talk. HAL will say a new and different quote from the movie each time you activate it and the best part is if you don't want to hear a specific quote then once you activate the sensor it will stop the previous quote and go to the next so no waiting.
